UT SOUTHWESTERN HEALTH SYSTEMS IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, SCIENTIFIC, AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES, AND IS OPERATED FOR THE PURPOSES OF:(I) SUPPORTING THE PROVISION OF HEALTH CARE TO THE PUBLIC,(II) SUPPORTING HEALTH CARE EDUCATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS SOUTHWESTERN MEDICAL CENTER ("MEDICAL CENTER"),(III) PROVIDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE MEDICAL CENTER, AND(IV) ANY OTHER ACTIVITIES USEFUL OR APPROPRIATE TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE MISSION OF THE MEDICAL CENTER.THE MEDICAL CENTER IS A TAX-EXEMPT COMPONENT EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS SYSTEM, ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATING STUDENTS IN THE DELIVERY OF MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC, CONDUCTING BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH, AND PROVIDING PUBLIC SERVICE.
