AS AMERICA'S FIRST ANIMAL SHELTER, FOUNDED IN 1869, WOMEN'S HUMANE SOCIETY DBA WOMEN'S ANIMAL CENTER (WAC), ASSISTS PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY, SAVES THE LIVES OF ANIMALS, AND IMPROVES THE HEALTH OF PETS THROUGH ITS SHELTER AND ADOPTIONS CENTER, (SEE SCHEDULE O)VETERINARY HOSPITAL, COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS, EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AND ADVOCACY.
