BLACK WOMEN LAWYERS ASSOCIATION OF LOS ANGELES INC

The organization provides legal assistance and community support for the Los Angeles community. This includes pro bono clinics, student liaisons, education assistance and donations to legal clinics. The general purpose of this organization is to improve and promote administration of justice by increasing opportunities for the participation of Black women at all levels, to promote ethical standards in the profession through continuing legal education, to promote the cause of civil and human rights, to cooperate with local, state and national organizations which concern the legal welfare of the poor and minorities, and to advocate for fair treatment of African Americans and other minorities.
