Mission
ACADEMY OF THE CITY CHARTER SCHOOL IS A COMMUNITY-BASED CHARTER SCHOOL BASED ON PRINCIPLES OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, WORKPLACE DEMOCRACY, REFLECTIVE PRACTICES IN PEDAGOGY, MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, ACCOUNTABILITY, TRANSPARENCY, AND ENTREPRENEURIALISM. OUR STUDENTS WILL BECOME INDEPENDENT THINKERS, LIFELONG LEARNERS, AND RESPONSIBLE MEMBERS OF THEIR COMMUNITIES.
