Mission

Launched in 2017 under the umbrella of Bryant Temple AME Church, the Community Development Corporation (CDC) abides by the mission of Doing Community by serving the social, spiritual, and physical development of all people. We are active in the community, operating winter shelter programs for those who are unhoused, providing a food pantry to feed those in need in the community, providing no-cost counseling services by licensed clinicians, offering monthly activities for seniors to encourage community involvement and reduce isolation, and offering a variety of activities for youth/young adults to prevent gang and justice involvement.
