The Corporation is organized to control and regulate intercollegiate athletics as institutional activities; to encourage sound academic practices for student-athletes; to establish harmonious intercollegiate relationships among Member institutions; to promote and develop the sport of hockey; and to give college student-athletes the opportunity to play hockey at a high level, including competing for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) hockey championship.
