THE PRIMARY MISSION OF THE DIETRICH FOUNDATION (THE "FOUNDATION") IS TO BENEFIT HIGHER EDUCATION, PRIMARILY IN THE GREATER PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA AREA, BY PROVIDING ONGOING AND INCREASING FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY, THE UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH, THIEL COLLEGE, PRINCETON UNIVERSITY, DUQUESNE UNIVERSITY, AND CHATHAM UNIVERSITY. THE FOUNDATION SHALL ALSO FURTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA BY PROVIDING ONGOING AND INCREASING FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS.
