THE MISSION OF EDUCATION COMMISSION OF THE STATES (THE COMMISSION OR ECS) IS TO SERVE AS A PARTNER TO STATE POLICYMAKERS BY PROVIDING SUPPORT AND HELPING EDUCATION LEADERS COME TOGETHER, LEARN FROM ONE ANOTHER, AND GAIN THE INSIGHT AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE EFFECTIVE EDUCATION POLICY.
