FOX VALLEY FOOD FOR HEALTH'S MISSION IS TO GROW A NETWORK OF ADULT AND TEEN VOLUNTEERS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO ARE DEALING WITH CANCER OR LIFE THREATENING ILLNESSES, BY PROVIDING NUTRIENT-RICH ORGANIC MEALS, NUTRITION EDUCATION AND PERSONAL CARING SUPPORT. TO DATE, OVER 64,000 MEALS HAVE BEEN SERVED FREE OF CHARGE TO 1,140 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AFFECTED BY SERIOUS ILLNESS. MORE THAN 826 ADULTS AND 309 TEENS HAVE VOLUNTEERED APPROXIMATELY 62,400 HOURS IN THE PROGRAM SINCE INCEPTION. DUE TO COVID-19, THE FOX VALLEY FOOD FOR HEALTH HEALTHY MEALS PROGRAM WAS SHUT DOWN FOR TWO WEEKS IN MARCH TO ASSESS RISK BUT WAS ABLE TO RESTART AS AN ESSENTIAL BUSINESS AND REMAINED IN OPERATION THRU THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR. PRIOR TO COVID-19, EACH SEMESTER 36 TEEN VOLUNTEERS FROM LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS ATTEND A NUTRITION EDUCATION PROGRAM AND THEN CONTIN
