The Laredo-Webb Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. (LWNHS) dba NeighborWorks Laredo (NWL) was incorporated in 1991 as a non-profit Organization in the State of Texas to combat community deterioration and to secure decent, safe and sanitary housing community facilities and other related facilities, services and conditions, economic, social or otherwise, conducive to the progress and general welfare of the community, by facilitating rehabilitation and improvement of declining areas of the City of Laredo. In 2023, NWL started offering weatherization and repairs to rural communities that include Webb and Zapata counties. LWNHS actively promotes homeownership, foreclosure prevention, provides affordable housing financial capabilities program with focus on credit coaching. NWL is also an emerging CDFI.
