THE MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT IS TO PROVIDE THE MEMBERS PROTECTIVE GEAR AND EQUIPMENT, TRAINING, AND TO ASSIST THE MEMBERS AND THEIR BENEFICIARIES SHOULD THEY SUFFER AN UNFORTUNATE CONSEQUENCE AS A RESULT OF THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE DEPARTMENT.
