THE PURPOSE OF THE INSTITUTE IS TO ENGAGE IN THE SYSTEMATIC PROCESS OF SUSTAINED DIALOGUE TO DEFUSE, RESOLVE, AND TRANSFORM IN A PEACEFUL MANNER REACIAL, ETHNIC, CULTURAL, RELIGIOUS, OR SOCIAL PREJUDICE, TENSION AND CONFILICT AT THE INTERNATIONAL, NATIONAL, COMMUNITY, AND ORGANIZATION LEVEL, THUS ENABLING ONGOING DEVELOPMENT OF INSIGHTS INTO ENHANCING THE APPLICABLE SYSTEMS AND PARADIGMS.
