THE HANCOCK COUNTY CENTER FOR SAFE AND HEALTHY CHILDREN, ALONG WITH PARTICIPATING AGENCIES, WILL COORDINATE THE INVESTIGATION, PROSECUTION, TREATMENT AND PREVENTION EDUCATION COMPONENTS OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT INTO A UNIFIED SYSTEM. THIS SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE MULTI-DISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO DEALING WITH CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT VICTIMS AND THEIR NON-OFFENDING FAMILY MEMBERS SO THAT THE TRAUMA THEY EXPERIENCE IS MINIMIZED.
