THE MISSION OF THE SHERIFF'S FOUNDATION OF BROWARD COUNTY (SFBC) IS TO PROVIDE MORAL AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO FAMILIES OF THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE LINE OF DUTY AND TO FUND PROGRAMS OF THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, SEEK TO MAINTAIN THE PUBLIC SAFETY AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL CITIZENS IN BROWARD COUNTY, EITHER DIRECTLY OR BY CONTRIBUTIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE OTHERWISE UNFUNDED AND QUALIFY AS EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE AND REGULATIONS ISSUED UNDER IT, AS THEY NOW EXIST OR AS THEY MAY HEREAFTER BE AMENDED.
