WYCRP is committed to supporting the safety, permanence, and well-being of children through systematic reviews, education, prevention, and early intervention efforts. As a federally mandated entity, the Citizen Review Panel evaluates the effectiveness of state and local agencies in fulfilling child protective responsibilities under the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) and its amendments. Through comprehensive assessments of service networks, policies, procedures, research, and case reviews, WYCRP provides recommendations to enhance child welfare outcomes. Our work fosters accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the child welfare system, ensuring that resources are used effectively to promote lasting positive change.
