ADvancing States is a national association representing the 56 state and territorial agencies on aging and disability services. The organization is dedicated to supporting state agencies in developing, implementing, and improving programs that serve older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers. ADvancing States is funded through membership dues, grants and subcontracts with the federal government through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, revenue from national meetings, and enhanced technical assistance projects funded by state agencies and foundations.Our work helps states advance community integration, health and wellness, consumer access, the paid and unpaid workforce, organizational effectiveness, participant health and welfare, quality outcomes, and service access.
