THE AMALGAMATED TRANSIT UNION HELPS TRANSIT WORKERS ORGANIZE LOCAL UNIONS, NEGOTIATE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING CONTRACTS BETWEEN ITS MEMBERS AND THEIR EMPLOYERS, REPRESENTS MEMBERS IN DISPUTES WITH MANAGEMENT, AND MAKES SURE THAT EMPLOYERS ADHERE TO THE PROVISIONS OF THEIR COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT.
