(THE INN) IS A PRIVATE, NONPROFIT RESIDENCE FOR FAMILIES AND THEIR CHILDREN WHO ARE PARTICIPATING IN PEDIATRIC RESEARCH AT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH'S (NIH) CLINICAL CENTER. THE INN'S MISSION IS TO FULLY AND CONSISTENTLY MEET THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES PARTICIPATING IN GROUNDBREAKING RESEARCH AT NIH BY:- RESPONDING TO EVOLVING FAMILY SUPPORT NEEDS FROM PEDIATRIC RESEARCH AND CLINICAL CARE;- PROVIDING A FREE FAMILY-CENTERED "PLACE LIKE HOME; AND- REDUCING THE BURDENS OF ILLNESS THROUGH THERAPEUTIC, EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMMING.
