Mission
THE FOUNDATION IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE RESEARCH, DATA, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TO PROMOTE COLLABORATIVE PLANNING, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND WORKFORCE ACTIVITIES IN CONNECTION WITH THE JOB CREATION INITIATIVES AUTHORIZED AND SPONSORED BY THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA AND THE CITIES AND COUNTIES WITHIN THE FOUNDATIONS DESIGNATED REGION, THEREBY LESSENING THE BURDENS OF GOVERNMENT.
