Lillian's List envisions a North Carolina where women are able to access complete health care and freely and fully participate in political and economic life. To achieve that vision, we are committed to developing a strong pipeline of women ready to run for elected office at every level. Recruiting and training women to run at the local level of government is a critical component of building the bench for women to successfully run and win at the legislative level and above. In addition to creating a strong pipeline, this long-term strategic effort ensures that women are represented at every level of government. Lillian's List strives for the day when women are consistently the majority of all elected officials in North Carolina. We are stepping up to lead this effort by recruiting and training women to run, win, and become champions of gender equity in their local communities. We are starting this effort by providing training and supporting women interested in running for local office.
