UNDER THE MEDICAL SERVICE PLAN OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO THE PHYSICIAN PRACTICES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, INCLUDING HUMAN RESOURCES AND OTHER PAYROLL SERVICES. THESE SERVICES ALLOW THE PHYSICIAN PRACTICES TO DELIVER HEALTHCARE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITHOUT REGARD TO THE PATIENT'S ABILITY TO PAY FOR THE SERVICES ON BEHALF OF THE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE.
