THE MISSION OF MCHC CHICAGO HOSPITAL COUNCIL IS TO FOSTER, PROMOTE, SUPPORT, DEVELOP AND ENCOURAGE CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, SCHOLASTIC AND SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES; PROMOTE COOPERATIVE EFFORT AND ACTION BETWEEN HOSPITALS AND OTHER HEALTH CARE ENTITIES AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THUS ENHANCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE HOSPITAL AND OTHER HEALTH CARE SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY; STIMULATE UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION BETWEEN HOSPITALS AND OTHER HEALTH CARE ENTITIES AND THE MEDICAL PROFESSION; ENCOURAGE SCIENTIFIC PROGRESS AND ADMINISTRATIVE ADVANCES IN HOSPITALS AND OTHER HEALTH CARE ENTITIES AND MORE EFFECTIVE UTILIZATION OF THEIR FACILITIES; AND HELP MEET PUBLIC NEEDS FOR HOSPITAL AND HEALTH CARE FACILITIES AND SERVICES.
