Mission
THE BOARD OF THE FUND FOR THE CITY OF NEW YORK CREATED THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR CIVIC INNOVATION IN 1992 TO FACILITATE THE ADAPTATION IN OTHER AREAS OF THE COUNTRY AND BEYOND OF SOME OF THE INITIATIVES THE FUND DEVELOPED TO PROMOTE THE PERFORMANCE OF GOVERNMENT AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. THE FUND AND THE NATIONAL CENTER HAVE A SHARED BOARD AND STAFF.
