THE ARC ROCKLAND WAS FOUNDED IN 1954 BY PARENTS DETERMINED TO CREATE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR THEIR CHILDREN WITH INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO LEARN, PLAY, COMMUNICATE, AND DEVELOP AS FULLY AS POSSIBLE. OUR MISSION IS "TO EMPOWER THE PEOPLE WE SUPPORT TO MAKE PERSONAL CHOICES AND REALIZE THEIR DREAMS BY PROVIDING THEM WITH RESOURCES TO PARTICIPATE FULLY IN COMMUNITY LIFE."
