Mission

THE MISSION OF THE PARENT ENCOURAGEMENT PROGRAM (PEP) IS TO BUILD STRONG, HARMONIOUS FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS THROUGH PARENTING EDUCATION, SKILLS TRAINING AND SUPPORT. OUR GOAL IS FOR CHILDREN TO GROW UP IN A SUPPORTIVE FAMILY ENVIRONMENT WHERE THEY FEEL CAPABLE AND VALUED, DEVELOP RESILIENCY TO MEET LIFE'S CHALLENGES, AND ARE PREPARED TO MAKE POSITIVE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR FAMILIES, THEIR COMMUNITIES, AND THE WORLD AT LARGE. SINCE 1982, PEP HAS HELPED OVER 70,000 PARENTS GIVE THEIR CHILDREN THE SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL SKILLS THEY NEED TO THRIVE AT HOME, AT SCHOOL, AND IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. IN FY23, PEP SERVED NEARLY 6,000 PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS THROUGH A WIDE VARIETY OF PROGRAMS INCLUDING ONLINE CLASSES, WEBINARS, ON-DEMAND VIDEOS, PODCASTS, PROGRAMS IN WORKPLACES AND SCHOOLS AND THE NEW PEP FAMILY RESILIENCY PROGRAM.
