TO CREATE A GREATER MIAMI WHERE EVERYONE CAN THRIVE BY ACCELERATING GENEROSITY, LEADERSHIP, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. THE MIAMI FOUNDATION SERVES AS A PHILANTHROPIC AND COMMUNITY BACKBONE FOR GREATER MIAMI, BRINGING TOGETHER DONORS, NONPROFITS, LEADERS, AND LOCALS TO WORK TOGETHER ON SOLUTIONS FOR OUR COMMUNITY. ESTABLISHED IN 1967, THE MIAMI FOUNDATION, FORMERLY THE DADE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, HAS INVESTED HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF PHILANTHROPIC DOLLARS TO STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITY, AND HAS PLAYED A CRITICAL LEADERSHIP ROLE IN MOBILIZING THE REGION TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY TO ADDRESS CRITICAL ISSUES, FROM CLIMATE RESILIENCE TO EDUCATIONAL EQUITY.
