Misión

This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, more specifically to provide humane shelter, care and treatment for all animals in the area served by the organization, which will be the Northern Neck and surrounding counties of Virginia.In 2017, land was purchased and a website was completed. In 2018 and 2019, the planning process and permitting process continued and was further refined in 2020 with consultant Leslie Hervey, a specialist in animal shelter design. Fundraising continues for the long term goal of construction and operation of the animal shelter. In support of that mission, the Animal Welfare League donated $250,000 to add to the many gifts of support indicating faith in the mission in 2019 and another individual donated $100,000 in 2020.
