THE PURPOSE OF AMERICAN GASTROENTEROLOGICAL ASSOCIATION, INC. IS TO PROMOTE THE COMMON BUSINESS INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS BY PROMOTING THE IMAGE OF THE INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE; TO SERVE AS A CENTRAL, UNIFIED VOICE FOR THE SPECIALTY OF GASTROENTEROLOGY; AND TO MONITOR LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES AT BOTH A FEDERAL AND STATE LEVEL AND REPORT ANY DEVELOPMENT TO ITS MEMBERS.
