THE JAMAICA HOSPITAL IS AN ACUTE CARE FACILITY SERVING THE PUBLIC. ITS SERVICES INCLUDE ACUTE, MEDICAL REHABILITATION, HOSPICE UNIT, A LEVEL 1 TRAUMA CENTER, AND PSYCHIATRIC CARE. THE HOSPITAL PROVIDES CARE TO PATIENTS WHO MEET CERTAIN CRITERIA UNDER ITS CHARITY CARE POLICY WITHOUT CHARGE OR AT DISCOUNTED AMOUNTS LESS THAN ESTABLISHED RATES.
