Misión

The East Lake Tenants Union (ELTU) is a nonprofit organization focused on grassroots organizing to empower low-income tenants in Chicago, particularly in predominantly Black and BIPOC communities. Our main activities include tenant advocacy, legal support, organizing campaigns for tenant rights, and educational workshops on housing justice. We work to secure affordable housing, fight against evictions, and provide resources to tenants in need, with a focus on organizing tenants into a collective voice for change.
