Misión

Keota is located in Keokuk County, Iowa, which has been declared an economically disadvantaged area of the state. Keota is a small farming community of approximately 1,000 people located in Southeastern Iowa, approximately 1 hour from any large city. These factors can inhibit the ability to attract and retain new businesses, employers, workers or families.The significant activities of the organization in 2021 included completion of substantial improvements to the Keota Trailhead of the Kewash Nature Trail, business district beautification efforts, listing in the area visitor's guide, and a grant to the Washington Economic Development Group.
