THE PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION SHALL BE TO CULTIVATE AND DEVELOP INFORMED AND INVOLVED CITIZENS WORKING TO MAKE JOHNSON COUNTY A COMMUNITY OF CITIZENS WHO VALUE DIVERSITY, CREATE A VIBRANT DEMOCRACY, HAVE A PASSION FOR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, HAVE A STRONG SENSE OF HISTORY, COUNTY IDENTITY, AND REGIONAL INFLUENCE, AND WORK TO IMPROVE THE PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, AND CULTURAL WELL-BEING OF ALL COUNTY RESIDENTS. IN FURTHERANCE OF THIS PURPOSE, THE CORPORATION SHALL PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: THE LJC SIGNATURE PROGRAM, LJC YOUTH LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, LJC SELECT WORKSHOPS, AND LEADERSHIP TO YOUR DOOR. THE PROGRAMMING IS CARRIED OUT IN A SERIES OF SESSIONS WHOSE CONTENT, FREQUENCY, AND SCHEDULE ARE TO BE DETERMINED ANNUALLY BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
