Misión

The mission of the Tennessee Certification Board is to establish, certify, and maintain professional credentials that verify standards of excellence. We envision a competent workforce of certified professionals throughout Tennessee who recognize and meet the needs of the people they serve. Our mission is carried out by supporting the workforce through professional development and education opportunities, collaboration of statewide workforce support, and management of International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) reciprocal level credentials for Certified Prevention Specialists, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors, and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselors.
