Lucido vs. the annual PDF

The same 990 data, live, not frozen

Candid (GuideStar) publishes a fixed compensation report once a year. It is accurate the day it ships and slowly goes stale. Lucido is the same kind of data, refreshed monthly and filterable to your exact peer set.

Questions

About this report

Yes. The full national distribution on this page, every percentile and sample size by role, sector, and budget size, is free and needs no account. Lucido Pro ($449 per year) adds filtering benchmarks to your exact peer set, drilling into the source filings, and CSV export.

Directly from IRS Form 990 filings, the Schedule J and Part VII compensation rows that nonprofits are required to file. No surveys, no self-reported numbers, no estimates.

It is live. We reprocess the data monthly as the IRS releases new filings, so the report carries a "data through" date rather than an edition that freezes. There is roughly an 18-month average lag between an organization's fiscal-year close and its filing becoming public, so the most recent filings reflect fiscal years 2019–2024.

It is the same underlying 990 data, presented differently. Candid publishes a fixed annual report, accurate the day it ships, then static. Lucido stays current month to month and lets you filter to your sector, budget size, and state, with the individual filings behind every number one click away.
