THE ORGANIZATION IS ORGANIZED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING THE FOLLOWING: 1) TO SHARE THREAT INFORMATION AND USE THREAT INFORMATION INDEPENDENTLY IN ORDER TO IMPROVE DEFENSES AGAINST ADVANCED CYBER ADVERSARIES ACROSS MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS AND THEIR CUSTOMERS; 2) TO ADVANCE THE CYBERSECURITY OF CRITICAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURES; 3) TO INCREASE THE SECURITY, AVAILABILITY, INTEGRITY AND EFFICIENCY OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS; AND 4) TO TAKE ALL OTHER APPROPRIATE AND LAWFUL ACTION, AND TO ENGAGE IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD IN ANY LAWFUL ACT OR ACTIVITY, THAT MAY BE CONSISTENT, APPROPRIATE OR INCIDENTAL TO THE FURTHERANCE OF SUCH PURPOSES.
