Jenesse Center, Inc.'s (Jenesse) mission is to restore families impacted by domestic and sexual violence through holistic, trauma-informed, culturally responsive services, and advance prevention initiatives that foster and sustain healthy, violence-free communities.Jenesse is a domestic violence intervention and prevention non-profit organization that was founded in 1980 by five African American women. These courageous women were all survivors of domestic violence (DV) and grew tired of watching their community suffer the negative consequences of domestic and family violence. They made a decision to act and became a part of the solution.
