Idealist.org, Inc. (the Organization") is a not-for-profit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of New York in 1995 and is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and from state and local taxes under comparable laws. The Organization connects people, organizations, and resources to help build a world where all people can live free and dignified lives. The Organization is independent of any government, political ideology or religious creed. Its work is guided by the common desire of its members and supporters to find practical solutions to social and environmental problems, in a spirit of generosity and mutual respect.
