To promote the health and welfare of spinal cord dysfunctional veterans through programs; legislative, advocacy, research and sports and recreation. All mission elements are designed to reinforce one another. For example, the Chapters Health and Recreation Point System awards points for members who engage in graduated levels of activity, enabling them to qualify for chapter support for more activity. Members who become more active may become interested in other areas of the Chapters mission, such as advocacy, which gets them more broadly involved in the operation of their own organization.
