The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, a Congressionally Chartered Organization, chartered the Pennsylvania Society (PASSAR) in 1893. The Philadelphia Continental Chapter of PASSAR is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization, which, like PASSAR, is dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and teaching that history to future generations. The Philadelphia Continental Chapter works with PASSAR in these efforts, while PASSAR serves as a liaison to the National Society.
